Do you know the feeling when you are looking for something and cannot find it, even though you should have been on your way to work a long time ago? Did you just misplace it, or was it stolen from you unnoticed?

You feel a short burst of panic rushing through your body, and the following search costs you valuable time. Unfortunately, however, this is what happens to many people regularly. They are looking for the remote control, their smartphone, or the keys to their car and apartment. According to Pixie, a smart location solution for iPhones, Americans search for misplaced items for around 2.5 days, resulting in replacement costs of more than $ 2.7 billion per year.

Hereby, millennials are the most forgetful of all. They are twice as likely to misplace items than Baby Boomers and 33% more likely to lose things than Generation X. Still, the study also revealed some exciting results: 27% got their cell phones and 29% their wallets back from strangers.

However, the picture no longer looks rosy if you add stolen valuables due to pickpocketing and similar theft methods. According to the criminal police in Germany, a total of 94,106 pickpockets were reported in 2019, of which only 5.4% were cleared up. The damage caused is estimated to be around 30.5 million euros. Let that sink in for a second!

At S4FE, we want to ensure that as many lost and stolen items as possible are returned to their rightful owners. To achieve this goal faster, we recommend using the S4FE ST!CKER, which adheres to nearly all surfaces and materials. It has a unique identifier that contains all information about the owner in our S4FE database. If a product is equipped with an S4FE-ST!CKER, the finder can scan it with a smartphone, determine the owner and contact it directly via the S4FE app.
